A ruby-crowned kinglet caught in one of the mist nets. Injuries are very rare with these nets and experienced handlers.

A dark-eyed junco lays dazed on a the hand of a kid from a local charter school (while the NPR guy tries to get some comments from the bird). When there were field trips at the IBO, the crew would let the kids release the birds in this way. It would never take long for the bird to regather its bearings and fly off.
